Quick Tip

Bing Facts

I'll admit that I don't usually go to Bing as my main search provider, but I was there just the other day and noticed that you can change the background image by clicking the little arrows on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

That's neat, but you may also notice little squares that appear as you move your mouse over the image, too. These are little factoids that tell you not only about what you're looking at, but also carry location-specific links, so you can do a little further research on your own. Just hold your mouse pointer over them and get the facts!

Learn while you search! How cool!

Still Using a Mouse to Edit Photos or Do Graphics Work?

THAT'S CRAZY - GET WITH THE TIMES!

Get THIS Graphics Tablet with Stylus Pen And...

PREPARE FOR SURGICALLY PRECISE PHOTO EDITING & GRAPHICS!

There's NEVER Been a Better Way to Edit!

The Tablet with Pen Allows You to Actually "Draw" on Your Screen...

OR TRACE PHOTOS TO CREATE AMAZING DIGITAL DRAWINGS!

High-Tech & High-End - And we've Got it for an Outstanding Deal!

If You've EVER...

Done any kind of photo editing, or any kind of graphics work, you'll absolutely, positively 100% LOVE this thing! You see, before graphics tablets, you were forced to do your editing work with your mouse. How natural did that feel? Not natural at all. There's no precision with a mouse, and it shows in both photos and graphics.

But a graphics tablet that comes WITH a pen...now that's what you need. All you need to do is hook the tablet up to your PC and then you can use the "Pen" to draw on the tablet, which then shows up on your computer screen! Freedom!

Precise, Simple and Efficient!

Ok, there's TONS of graphics and photo editing programs out there. Like, endless amounts. And all of them force you to do your editing by clicking and dragging your mouse. It's pretty ridiculous, and almost NEVER works right. In fact, you end up spending way too much time if you're trying to edit with a mouse.

The good new is, no matter what graphics or photo editing sofware you're using, if it can be controlled by a mouse, it can be controlled with this graphics tablet! Ever used a mouse trying to do precise work? Yeah...it doesn't work. At all.

The Graphics Tablet sits next to your keyboard and functions just like a mouse pad. Only there's a pen included with this tablet, and it allows you to draw on it - while the mouse follows along on the monitor! Basically, the Pen becomes your mouse without actually replacing it!

Simple Set Up! All you have to do is plug it into your USB port! One of the coolest features here is that you can use both the pen/tablet at the same time you're using your mouse - it's the best of both worlds!

Perfect 5.5'' X 4'' Pressure Sensitive Tablet - SO Easy to Use!

The tablet is 5.5'' X 4'' for simple drawing. Easier to use than a mouse? That's the understatement of the century!

You can even lift up the transparent drawing grid, slide your favorite photo or picture underneath it and trace over your picture! Before you know it - your favorite picture will soon become an incredible digital drawing!! Just try to do that with your mouse!

This is a pressure sensitive pad! If your program supports it (Photoshop does - and many others), then you'll really love this! You can generally set the pen to apply "more" as you press harder! So, let's say you're brushing in an area in Photoshop - You can set this so the harder you press, the more "effect" you put down!

For example, if you're painting with black, a light touch would only put down a light grey, harder would be a middle grey, and full pressure would be black.

You're Gonna Love it - Here's Why:

The usefulness of this thing pretty much speaks for itself, but here's a quick list for all you fence sitters...

The PERFECT 5.5''X4'' size - Big enough, but not too big for your desk!
Pressure sensitive Stylus pen - 1024 levels of pressure!
USB interface - Cable included, just plug it in and get to work!
Pen commands and signature capturing capabilities - simple online signatures!

HUGE Improvement for a TINY PRICE!

These days, we all do a little photo editing - you pretty much have to if you're taking digital photos! Well as you now know, this thing makes it WAY easier. These easily go for $200 or so at the box stores...but today, you can get one from Worldstart for just $28.97 with FREE US SHIPPING!

Quentin from WI asks:

How do I display "My Recent Documents" in the Start menu in Windows XP? I've searched all over the place!!

The solution is blindingly simple, but I'll give ya credit for trying! To display your recent documents folder in Windows XP, follow these steps:

Right click on the Start button and select Properties, or if the Start menu is already up, simply right click on any blank area and select Properties. Either way is fine!

From the Properties menu, select the Start Menu tab at the top and then select Customize. Click the Advanced tab.

Under Recent Documents, check the "List my most recently opened documents" check box, then click OK until you exit the window.

The next time you swing the Start Menu out, My Recent Documents should be displayed.

You can also do this in Vista and Windows 7 by following these steps: Right click on the Start button and selectProperties. From the Properties menu, select the Start Menu tab at the top, and check the box beside Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar (the wording may be slightly different in Vista). Click the Customize button.

In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, check Recent Items and click OK.

Click OK in Taskbar and Start Menu Properties and a new button appears in your Start menu.

I hope that helps!

Dale from OR asks:

I can receive email messages with no problem in Outlook, but all my outgoing email stays in my Outbox and won't send. Can you help?

Despite possibly being the world's most ubiquitous e-mail program, Microsoft's Outlook e-mail client is not without its flaws. Now in its 14th iteration, Microsoft Outlook is the de-facto e-mail program for home, small business, and corporate environments alike. While a massive amount of users, coupled with what has obviously been a long development time, have surely helped Microsoft to find and fix a number a errors in their code, a few bugs continue to show up in virtually every revision to date. One such bug: outgoing mail which does not leave the Outbox.

A persistent problem which has plagued users of Microsoft's Outlook e-mail client for many, many years, a stubborn e-mail message which refuses to leave the outbox, when attempting to send. Besides the obvious frustration attempting to send and re-send an important e-mail unsuccessfully can cause, an additionally common side effect of an e-mail stuck in Outlooks' outbox is the even more frustrating clogged outbox: a condition which Outlook will sometimes develop whereby not just a single problematic message, but every e-mail which you try to send from Outlook becomes stuck in the outbox upon initiating the Send or Send/Receive commands.

I've Always Wanted To Know:
How does the internet work?

Answer:
We take it for granted that the internet just works when we go to a website or when chatting with someone but how does it work? How does typing a letter to your friend in an e-mail program get from your computer to their computer hundreds (or even thousands) or miles away?

It's simple and complex at the same time. Here is a flow chart describing how the information gets from your webcam to their webcam.

Lazy Meter

I am a list maker. I make lists for everything – chores, hobbies, activities, bills, shopping, etc. While this usually makes me a very organized person, on occasion it has a tendency to backfire when I get a little overzealous. So to prevent myself from being overwhelmed by my summer to-do list, I went looking for sites that helped manage such lists. I found Lazy Meter – it lets you finish a to-do list every day because you can reschedule the tasks you didn't get to today (if you're like me and have written a list that should keep you busy all summer, it's a blessing to be able to still feel like you completed a goal).

I'd suggest you start your visit by clicking Tour – this will take you to the introduction where you'll find a video that explains how the site works. From there, you'll click Focus your energy, where you'll learn how the Save, Plan, and Focus buttons work. Next up is Make Progress, which explains about checking things off your list or pausing them for a later date. Last is Celebrate, where they talk about checking off the last thing on your list and feeling the satisfaction of having accomplished your goals for the day.

Sound like the to-do list for you? Well then, click the Sign Up button and fill out the form with a username, working e-mail address, and create a password – then select your timezone and click the Register button. It will setup your account and then walk you through a cute tutorial of how it works. You have to complete the tasks on your to-do list (learn to use the site, authenticate your account, and empty the playlist) before you can get started creating your own.

You can also find more tips on how to use the site in the Getting Started Guide.

This is a great site to help you stay organized, and prevent you from being overwhelmed. Check it out today!

Prairie Dog Smooch

Ahh, aren't they cute? We found these two prairie dogs on a hillside in Custer State Park, SD on warm June morning. They were having a great time playing, eating, and in this case, checking each other out.
I knew when I went on this trip that I wanted to get some kind of shot like this. I had actually been trying for... (more)

Coyote Gaze

We spotted this cool coyote one evening in Yellowstone, and since coyotes just happen to be about my favorite animal of all time, well, I had to grab the camera and see about getting a photo.

Now, the tricky part here was the light – we were running out of it – and FAST! I quickly set up the camera and put glass on this guy – but he was blocked by all kinds of brush – arrgh! However, I knew that if I... (more)

Corkscrew Falls

OK, first off, no clue if that's what the actual name of this falls is. In fact, I think it's an unnamed falls, so we're going with Corkscrew. Sound good?
