| Having trouble viewing parts or all of the newsletter? View the entire newsletter here! So, say you have an image you grabbed off the Internet and you want to find a larger size, but you can't quite remember where you got the image in the first place? What do you do? Where do you go? There's gotta be an easy way, right? Yep, there is, and you can find it at Google. It's called Reverse Image Search. Just head over to Google.com and click the Images button in the upper left-hand corner. The page should reload and you should see a little camera icon in the search box. Now, you have options here you can either browse to where your image is on your computer, paste the URL of an image from another site (right-click on the image and select Copy image URL) or even drag and drop and image from your desktop into the search bar. Whichever method you choose, after you hit the Search button Google will scour the internet for like-looking images to the one you uploaded. You can also click on the link at the bottom and watch a short video that offers more explanation. What a great idea! ~Andrew Click here to rate this tip | Printer friendly version

Catherine from AZ writes: How do you locate and change the (CMOS) clock battery? I have windows XP Dell Inspiron 530S. The clock battery (otherwise known as the CMOS battery) is a battery that is used to keep the system clock counting and the user settings saved in your motherboard's circuitry. Over time, the battery can run out of energy and require replacing. These batteries are style CR2032 and are very easy to replace. From Page 157-158 of Dell Service Manual (Download relevant pages here) the instructions for replacing the battery simply ask you to open the case and locate the battery (it is contained on the motherboard, the circuit board all the cables/CPU plugs in to). Remove the battery by pulling the battery release lever and put a new battery in its place. Note: Make sure to unplug the power cable from your computer before poking around in there. You have been warned! Replacing the battery can reset your saved motherboard settings (and date/time), so you'll be asked to rerun the setup utility for your motherboard by pressing Del or F2 when the computer boots up. Consult your computer manufacturer for what settings need to be changed (if any) from the default settings and how to set the time/date in the CMOS setup. Once you are done, you will want to save and reboot and your computer should boot up normally with a new working clock battery. ~Tim Click here to rate this tip | Printer friendly version Do you have a question for us? History Eraser for Android In the WorldStart article, Clear Android Applications Cache to Improve Performance, the author provided valuable advice about clearing unnecessary app cache clutter from Android phones. However, there's an easier way to achieve that (and more). The free app, History Eraser, cleans the app cache, along with all the items displayed in the image below. And all of this memory and space is cleared with one click. Anything checked on the list will be cleared. The default setting includes everything but SMS/MMS (text messaging files). Just check or uncheck your selections, and tap the green Clean button at the bottom. Tapping the check box to the right of the Clean button selects all items. (Want these tips in their entirety? Welcome to The Lively Morgue a site dedicated to posting amazing photographs from The New York Times archives. I am starting you out on the About page, so that you can read all about what the site is about, what they're posting (check out the awesome diagram with the photo), and how the the site got its name! After you've read all of that (or if you're impatient) click the Home link at the top right of the page to go to the main page and start looking at the photographs. The site is setup on Tumblr, so the most recent post will be at the top. I think Tumblr is the perfect host for this kind of project because their blog platform is very friendly to people posting multiple kinds of media (quotes, text, video, photo, etc.). All you have to do is scroll down the page, and then click Show More Posts to load more photos. I love that the images are for the most part very clear (the first one there when I visited was of the man holding the lion's tail and it seemed a little fuzzy to me) and that they provide commentary below the photo explaining what was going on, or what the accompanying news article said about the photo. What sort of photos will you see? Well, there are aerial photographs, architectural photographs, celebrity photographs, production photographs, and photographs that have captured a great moment (see this photograph for what I'm talking about). Now the really cool part! If you click the photograph, it will flip the image over and show you what was on the back of the actual photograph (dates, publication, caption, copyright, etc.). I thought that was just so neat! And now a warning! You may lose hours looking at the images at this site because they are fascinating. I just wanted to warn you of that before you dove right in, and looked up and it was three hours later then when you started. Enjoy! http://livelymorgue.tumblr.com/about ~Amanda Click here to rate this tip | Printer friendly version Do you have a cool, non-commercial site that you want to share?Send it to Amanda at amanda@worldstart.com
