Babs from Michigan asks: How do I remove MusicMatch jukebox 9 from my computer? It does not show up on my Add/Remove Programs area of my control panel. Thanks for the question Babs. It's frustrating when you want to uninstall a program and it won't uninstall. If MusicMatch Jukebox 9 is not showing up in your Add/Remove Programs, there are ways to uninstall it. It could not be showing up in Add/Remove Programs because a previous uninstall was attempted and didn't finish completely. In this case, the uninstaller could have been deleted. This may sound weird but what I would do in this situation would be to install the program again and then uninstall it. Installing the application on top of itself will overwrite any damaged or corrupted files. You will then be able to uninstall it through Add or Remove programs. Windows XP Before we get started, we need to delete the MusicMatch folder. Click Start and then My Computer. Click the C: Hard Disk then click the Program Files folder. Right-click the MusicMatch folder and select Delete. Close the window. Find the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop, right-click and select to empty it. MusicMatch Jukebox 9 is an outdated version, but you can download it here. When you click on the Click to Download link, choose to save the file. Be sure to save to a location you will remember such as your Desktop. When it is downloaded, click on the executable file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the program on your computer. Once it is completely installed, restart your computer by clicking Start, Turn off Computer then Restart. Now let's see if we can uninstall it. Click Start then Control Panel. Click Add/Remove Programs and find MusicMatch Jukebox 9 in the programs list. Single click it to select it then click Uninstall. Go through the onscreen instructions to remove it from your computer. Restart your computer again after you uninstall it. Windows 7 The first thing we need to do is delete the MusicMatch folder. To do this, click Start and Computer. Under Hard Disk Drives, double-click C: Double-click the Program Files folder then right-click the MusicMatch folder and select Delete. Close the window. Find the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop, right-click and select to empty it. Download MusicMatch Jukebox 9 here. When you click on the download button, choose to save the file. Be sure to save to a location you will remember such as your Desktop. When it is downloaded, click on the executable file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the program on your computer. When you are finished installing MusicMatch 9 you need to restart your computer by clicking Start, the arrow to the right of Shutdown and select Restart. Now let's see if we can uninstall it. Click Start then Control Panel. Click Programs/ Uninstall a program then find MusicMatch Jukebox 9 in the program list and select Uninstall. Restart your computer again when you are finished. If you still can't get MusicMatch Jukebox 9 uninstalled, try to use an uninstaller such as Revo Uninstaller. Sometimes these applications can force a program to uninstall. ~Rita Wood Click here to rate this tip | Printer friendly version Do you have a question for us? Ask it here!
