Quick Tip

Recycle Old Cartridges for $$$

If you are like me, few things depress you more than having to buy new ink cartridges. The cost per cartridge goes down if you have a printer that has separate ink cartridges for each color, but wouldn't it be great if you could turn those old cartridges in for recycling and get some money off your new ink?

Popular office supply stores OfficeMax and Staples both offer a cartridge recycling program where you can turn in old non-damaged cartridge for a $2.00 back in rewards per cartridge. There are limits to how many you can turn in and of what type, so check out the full program details below.

Big Sable Lighthouse At Twilight

Finally got it! This shot was literally 2 years, 5 hikes, and two separate trips in the making – but I was finally - finally - able to pull it off June 2012! My son Grant and I had been to Ludington State Park the year before and stayed several days in an attempt to get a good shot of the Big Sable Lighthouse – and we failed. Every evening we'd ...(More)

Stop Getting Caught in the Deadzone!

WiFi is Supposed to be Convenient

It Shouldn't Require a Recon Mission...

Just to Find a Network!

Meet your New Best Friend

One Button to Find the Best Hotspot

Never Setup Without WiFi Again!

WiFi seems to be everywhere nowadays... until you need it! Whether you're traveling or just trying to figure out your own home's WiFi access, it can be a pain to locate signals.

The hunt is over.

All you need is one of these little guys in your pocket and you're always prepared to find the strongest WiFi access around.

Seriously, just compare your options here. You can pull out your laptop, notebook, or netbook, turn it on, wait for it to boot up, stare at it while it locates available networks, and pray that it finds something you can use.

Well, that's great if it finds something, otherwise you gotta carry your laptop around trying not to knock everything over or just pack up and try against elsewhere.

Or, you could just pop out your WiFi detector, press the button, and... that's it. You'll know if you should set up here or keep movin'. No wasting time, no maneuvering around a coffee shop with your open notebook.

The lights on the front clearly indicate the level of signal you get wherever you are.

Perfect spots are just a button away.

The convenience is amazing, but you'll really appreciate it when you're pressed for time. Airports, around the office, even out and about town, you'll know right where to stop.

Perfect for home, too! Test your house to see what rooms get the most connectivity. Great for configuring a new setup or just putting your current one through the paces.

You won't need a detector to find the best price though, because you're already at Worldstart! This pocket-sized time saver is only $9.97 with FREE SHIPPING IN THE US! Wow!

http://store.worldstart.com/product/8180

PS - We don't know how many of these we'll be able to get, so don't miss out. Assuming we don't run out instantly, these are going up to $15.97 on Tuesday!

Computers 101

William Lynn from VA. writes:

I use Vista and my free games that came on my computer disappeared. They just are not available anymore. I had shortcuts for Spyder, Free cell and solitaire on my desktop. Can you help me get them back?

Hi, William. Thanks for the excellent question. My sister-in-law had a similar problem, so it's my pleasure to help you with this.

Somehow your games have become hidden. You didn't mention if you recently installed any new programs or did anything with your hard drive, but I have heard complaints of certain freeware game and shortcut applications hiding the games. I'm not sure why, but it is a problem. Here's how you get them back…

Click Start and then Control Panel.

The images that I'm putting here are from my Windows 7 computer, but the procedure is almost the same for Vista. In the Vista control panel, click on Classic View, then Programs and Features, then Turn Windows Features On or Off. In 7, click on Programs, and then, under the Programs and features header, click Turn Windows Features On or Off.

This will give you a list of Windows features that you can activate or deactivate, including your games. If the square box is highlighted, like the .NET Framework box here (circled in the picture) then that means that some of the features are turned on and some aren't. Click on the "+" next to the box to view an expanded list.

If the checkbox next to Games is empty, that means no games are selected, and if you want all of them back, simply check this box. If there's a check in the box, that means that all of the games are selected, and something else has happened to them. Once you've expanded the Games list, simply put a check in the box for the games that you want.

I hope that this helps!

Delete Your iTunes Duplicates

I've got a lot of music in my iTunes library – I'm talking thousands and thousands of songs from just about every kind of artist out there.

But keeping it all organized is giving me a real headache – especially when it comes to file duplicates. It can happen any number of ways. Maybe I ripped a CD twice, accidentally. Maybe I just added it to my library more than once. Whatever the case, today we're going to learn how to remove all the duplicates from your iTunes library.

First, open up iTunes. Here's a screenshot to show an example of my duplicates.

An easy fix! Find it here!

I've Always Wanted To Know:
What is a browser Add-On?

Answer:

Browser Add-Ons (or Extensions) are pieces of software that change the way your browser works or adds additional functionality to your web browser. Add-Ons can be something as common as Adobe Flash Player which allows you to play flash content on the web (movies, animated banners, games) to popular security programs such as NoScript which prevents scripts from being run unless you mark the site as trusted.

History of Rock and Roll

I love Explore.com, there is always something interesting to read, see, hear, or watch. With that said, I'd like to welcome you to a fabulous Explore article featuring a video called "A History of RocknRoll in 100 Riffs in a Single Take".

Navigation is very easy – just click play on the video to hear the guitarist Alex from Chicago Music Exchange play the riff. Do watch this when you have time, however – the video is over twelve minutes long.

Beneath the video you'll find the listing of riffs played in the video in chronological order. I had fun listening through the first time with the video playing in the background (minimized) and it was interesting to see how many I recognized. If you watch the video the riffs are counted off in the lower right corner, as well as listed below the video.

That's all there is to it! Listen and enjoy!

One More Big Deal

You've built up a pretty impressive collection of music over the years... it's too bad you can't listen to it now. Cars don't have cassette decks anymore and good luck finding a new record player.

Wouldn't it be convenient if you had a single solution to get all your old music right onto your PC? Then you could do whatever you want with it... put it on an MP3 player, use it for homemade videos, burn your own CDs...

That dream is now REALITY!

If you can plug in a cord, you can turn your entire music collection into a modern music library right on your computer. It's so easy you'll wonder why nobody came up with it sooner!

It doesn't really matter what format you use, almost anything with RCA audio output or a headphone jack is ready to be recorded and converted.

This package comes with everything you need. Between the INport Pro USB device and BIAS SoundSaver software, you're gonna enjoy this so much you'll wish you had more music to copy.

Installation takes just moments and is easy too! All you gotta do is plug the INport USB cable right into your PC and it installs the drivers automatically.

Simplicity - Whatever format of media you're recording, it's as easy as popping the recording device into the headphone or audio jack.

Yes! Finally a useful device with an INTUITIVE design!

SoundSaver is one seriously amazing program, too. Not only does it automate the hardest parts of converting your old music, it has some awesome features that give you increased control over your listening experience.

Removing pops, clicks, and hum is just a single-step process that'll save you from ever hearing unwanted imperfections in your music.

Save it how you want! SoundSaver lets you save files as MP3, WAV, or you can even save it straight into iTunes to make it a snap to get onto your iPod or iPhone.

It even remembers where you were if you took a break, so you can start right back where you were when you left off easy as pie.

It's powerful, it's convenient, it's honestly just astounding!

The best part? The INport device is designed with quality in mind. That means impressive audio quality for whatever you're recording.

Look at how much everyone else is selling this incredible item for...

This is the dream product we've all been waiting for. Buying your whole music library all over again could easily cost you hundreds. Now you can use all your old music how you want for just $26.97 with FREE US SHIPPING! How incredible is that?

http://store.worldstart.com/product/8168

Seriously, don't miss this crazy deal. There's only so many of these we can get, and once they're gone we might not ever be able to get them so cheap (or at all.) If you pass this deal up you might end up paying double what you see here. And on Tuesday these are going up to $39.99.
