Every day, more and more teachers are using the world-building game Minecraft to engage and educate. The game is a true phenomenon and gamers young and old are using it in countless creative ways. Practitioners of Games Based Education have realized the potential and have embraced Minecraft in classrooms around the world.

MinecraftEdu is the collaboration of a small team of educators and programmers from the United States and Finland. They are also working with Mojang AB of Sweden, the creators of Minecraft, to make the game accessible to schools everywhere.

Paintmap

Paintmap logoHave you ever wished you could see the world through the yes of an artist? Paintmap.net allows you to do just that. After entering a user name, password, email address & CAPTCHA, you can see all the paintings that have been uploaded and tagged to a location, and upload your own!

Paintmap is a geolocation-oriented painting sharing website with two goals: To allow painters all around the World to locate physically the subject painted by others and learn about the artistic activity at a given area.  Two allow Google Earth users to complement the physical and photographic knowledge of a given area with the artistic descriptions provided by users. Last but not least, Paintmap contributes to the capture of our nature and human heritage through the artistic work of users as a record for future generations.
