Quick Tip

Scroll Here in Windows 7

If you're like me you've got a lot of folders, all chock-full of various file types. Also, (if you're like me, that is), you have a pretty good understanding of where everything's at, too. So you open Windows Explorer, grab the slider and scroll down to where the file you need is at and you're all set, right?

Well, did you know you can also right-click your destination on the Windows Explorer scroll bar and choose Scroll Here to zap around, too? There are also options for Page up, Page Down, Top and Bottom, too!

It's kind of fun, plus it gives you an alternative to the boring ol' grab and scroll!

Try it out today, Windows 7 Users!

You've built up a pretty impressive collection of music over the years... it's too bad you can't listen to it now. Cars don't have cassette decks anymore and good luck finding a new record player.

Wouldn't it be convenient if you had a single solution to get all your old music right onto your PC? Then you could do whatever you want with it... put it on an MP3 player, use it for homemade videos, burn your own CDs...

That dream is now REALITY!

If you can plug in a cord, you can turn your entire music collection into a modern music library right on your computer. It's so easy you'll wonder why nobody came up with it sooner!

It doesn't really matter what format you use, almost anything with RCA audio output or a headphone jack is ready to be recorded and converted.

This package comes with everything you need. Between the INport Pro USB device and BIAS SoundSaver software, you're gonna enjoy this so much you'll wish you had more music to copy.

Installation takes just moments and is easy too! All you gotta do is plug the INport USB cable right into your PC and it installs the drivers automatically.

Simplicity - Whatever format of media you're recording, it's as easy as popping the recording device into the headphone or audio jack.

Yes! Finally a useful device with an INTUITIVE design!

SoundSaver is one seriously amazing program, too. Not only does it automate the hardest parts of converting your old music, it has some awesome features that give you increased control over your listening experience.

Removing pops, clicks, and hum is just a single-step process that'll save you from ever hearing unwanted imperfections in your music.

Save it how you want! SoundSaver lets you save files as MP3, WAV, or you can even save it straight into iTunes to make it a snap to get onto your iPod or iPhone.

It even remembers where you were if you took a break, so you can start right back where you were when you left off easy as pie.

It's powerful, it's convenient, it's honestly just astounding!

The best part? The INport device is designed with quality in mind. That means impressive audio quality for whatever you're recording.

Look at how much everyone else is selling this incredible item for...

This is the dream product we've all been waiting for. Buying your whole music library all over again could easily cost you hundreds. Now you can use all your old music how you want for just $26.97 with FREE US SHIPPING! How incredible is that?

Computers 101

Lorine via e-mail asks:

Do you know of a good audio recorder that I can use? I have tried several and they just don't seem to do the job.

Thanks for the question, Lorine – I love when people ask me this, because it gives me a chance to talk about a great audio recorder called Audacity. It is a program used to edit and enhance audio files – it has so many features, it would be impossible to list them all here.

But, to give you a little taste, a few of the features include recording, cutting and trimming audio files; reducing static and interference, recording custom MP3s, amplifying sounds and mixing audio tracks, among others. It's kind of like a mini recording studio!

I personally use Audacity for mixing audio tracks for videos I record, but there are hundreds of other uses for this program as well.

Also, be sure to check out the add ons for Audacity. They add even more functionality to this awesome free program!

You can download Audacity and all of its add ons right here. Have fun with this one!

WS App Review: Photographers Rights

Have you ever been traveling and wanted to know what the local rules for photography are? Is photography allowed in a public place? Can you take a photo of a bridge? What if there are children at an event – does that change photography rules? What if someone asks you to take a photograph for pay – how do you sign a contract for that? What if you're in a foreign country and want to ask permission to take a photo?

On some links it starts with http: while others start with https: Can you explain what the difference is?

This is quite an important question when considering how to keep your sensitive information secure.

We are all becoming more and more aware of how potentially insecure our sensitive information is on the web, which makes it important to know what to look out for. Stories about major corporations being hacked into, or Government agencies being under threat from cyber-attacks may leave us feeling as though we have little hope of keeping our data under wraps.

Amanda's Coolsite

Calm

I am desperately going to need this website this semester. I have to take the GRE (the exam for grad school), pass two CLEP tests (to get course credits), apply to grad schools, and deal with a full course load. It's going to be stressful, but I hope very much that it is going to be worth it. I also know it's going to stress me out, and I've already suffered a bad bout of anxiety before the the first week of class even got here – the grad school application process seems overwhelming, so I went looking for stress relievers and ways to relax and found this site.

Calm is a website that offers you the opportunity to take (at the very least) two minutes to relax, and at the most ten minutes of relaxation. Navigation is easy – just click start and the relaxation experience begins. You can choose to customize your experience by selecting the background image and sound, whether you want music to play, and whether or not you want guidance.

To select your background image and sound, mouse over the bottom of the page. There you will see six different images that have sounds to match. My favorite is the fifth one of the waterfall. I find that sound particularly soothing.

The two minute experience helps to teach you to stop and relax. You'll focus on your breathing, close your eyes, and just relax. I like this when I need a quick boost of energy because it makes me feel more alert and focused after doing it. I do this one with the music off, but the guidance on.

The ten minute experience I like to use when I'm very anxious, stressed out, or angry. It makes me very relaxed and able to let go of what's bothering me. I like to do this one with guidance and the music on rather than the babbling of the water.

They recommend using headphones, but I didn't have any around to try out. I've just been doing the relaxation sessions in my computer chair at home, but as I am more mobile over the course of the semester I'll probably use it at school with my headphones.

I hope you find this is a good relaxation tool for you too! Check it out today!

One More Big Deal

Prying Eyes Are After Your Private Information

Kick Identity Thieves to the Curb!

If You EVER Want to Sell Your PC

You NEED This Software

The Ultimate Powerwash for Your PC

We're Talkin' Department of Defense-level Cleaning

Don't Let ANYONE Recover Your Personal Data

Selling your computer, or even just the hard drive, is a great way to prepare for the next big upgrade. Computers are pretty expensive, so every dime helps, right? But there's something out there that can make your PC cost you a lot more... IDENTITY THEFT!

If you thought an $800 computer was pricey, wait until someone uses YOUR bank account to buy their own private jet. And even if you manage to fix the fraudulent charges, the effect of identity theft on your credit rating is a NIGHTMARE!

Identities are stolen every day! One of the cheapest ways for thieves to get your information is using your old computer. Even if you thought you deleted something, it's probably still there. It only takes basic computer knowledge to know how to retrieve data.

Even if you aren't selling your computer, don't you think it's worth it to make sure the things you want gone are ACTUALLY gone?

That's why you NEED this software. With PC Eraser, you're gonna get some military-grade cleaning with tactical precision. The data cleaning power of this program is at the standards of effectiveness suited for the Department of Defense.

See, you aren't actually deleting files from your PC when you press delete and clear your recycle bin. If that's all you've done, they can still easily be recovered using simple retrieval tools. PC Eraser actually gets that data off your PC, effectively destroying it from ever being found again.

This program is SIMPLE. No frills, no confusing settings. It's only what you need, nothing more, and definitely nothing less.

Multiple Erasing Settings - If you're pressed for time, you can use the simplified random data solution for just a single pass over your hard drive. It's quick, it's easy.

Need a little more? Step up to the 3 or 7 pass solutions to exponentially decrease your data retrievability.

But what if you REALLY want to get that thing scrubbed from head-to-toe... and we're talkin' some real spick-and-span, spotless, immaculate cleaning. The kind of clean you'd expect if Heaven sent you its number one cleaning team. That's when you pull out PC Eraser's secret weapon: the Guttman 35 pass solution set.

The Guttman 35 is as relentless as it is thorough. It takes its time and makes sure your hard drive is cleaner than when it first popped out of the machine where it was made.

Identity thieves won't stand a CHANCE.

And don't worry about protecting what you want to keep. PC Eraser has plenty of tools to make sure you can safeguard the files you want from being touched at all.

Protect Files and Folders - By simply adding any file or folder you want protected to this list, you can rest easy knowing PC Eraser won't even go near it.

Protect File Extensions - Similar to protecting your folders, type in any file extensions you want PC Eraser to leave alone before you run the pass.

On top of that, PC Eraser makes doubly sure you're ready to start the erasing process before you go. Multiple prompts warning you of the thorough clean it's about to perform should stop you from ever jumping the gun.

Just remember, you never know who is going to get access to your computer or hard drive, ESPECIALLY if you sold them or thought you threw them away...

When it's THIS EASY, there's no excuse to take big risks with your private information.

Although this software is pretty much military-quality stuff, you won't need a military budget to afford it. At only $9.97 with FREE US SHIPPING, you're going to have peace of mind that your deleted data is gone forever.

PS - People are going to clean our copies of this amazing software off our shelves in no time, so don't miss out. If you wait too long, the price is going up to $16.97 on Thursday
